Easter

Easter is this Sunday and I love everything about it. Many churches have sunrise services, the service is all about how much God loves us and sent his son to die for our sins. But then he is not dead, he is risen and that's why we celebrate Easter.

Labor Day Weekend

I had the most amazing Labor Day weekend. I spent it with my new girlfriend, Erikka and her family. We had so much fun that I didn't want to go home. I am crazy about this girl and I think she feels the same. I was able to go to church with her and her family on Sunday and I really enjoyed that. I am looking forward to seeing her again in about a week. It can't come fast enough for me.

Classes

Well, after this semester I have one more before I graduate. It's hard to believe that I have made it through 4 years of college already....well almost. This past week I got the information needed to chose my classes for my last semester. I think I have a few good choices and am hoping that I only have classes on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. That should make my last semester not so much of a drag. I am a little nervous about graduating and moving onto life but I know God is in control and will lead me in the right direction.

Easter

This Sunday my folks are coming to our place for Easter. We are going to attend church together which will be great. I love it when they come to our church and they love it too. I'm sure we will probably go out to lunch somewhere afterwards before they head for home. It should be a very nice day to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus.

Grades

I am just blown away at how well I am doing in school this semester. I was concerned about a quiz I was going to have to take today and ended up not doing too bad. I woke up this morning kind of worried about it and then I heard God speaking to me and saying "Be still and know I am God." I immediately felt peace about my school work and had help from other classmates to finish what I needed to get done. God is so good.

Sarah's Song

I have a very good friend who was recently in a very bad car accident. After visiting with her on the phone and hearing all about the accident and injuries that she incurred God laid on my heart lyrics to a song for her. So here is the song. Finals

I have taken my last final for this school year and now I am officially done with my junior year. I am so excited and relieved to be done with all of this for now. I stressed so much and hope that I did well. I know I have had a lot of prayers going up for me so that makes me feel a lot better.

Weekend

My parents came to our place this past weekend. We all went to church together and there was an amazing service. It is such an awesome church. We then went to Perkins and had lunch. I got a breakfast meal and strawberry cheesecake. It was soooo good and we had a great time.

Obama ... dNeero ... Twitter ... You!

Politics....hmmm, not really into it too much. I am not a fan of Obama and did not vote for him but I know as a Christian that I need to pray for him and other leaders of our country. I pray that he seeks God in decisions that he makes for the betterment of our country.

Grades

I've been checking on my grades lately. I have been working very hard to bring them up and I found out the other day that two of my classes I am doing much much better in. I had to hard tests to take this week and with a lot of studying and praying I did descent on them so I am extremely happy right now. God is good and I know that he has been beside me through it all.

Uncle Herman

My Uncle Herman passed away yesterday. Last week he had to have part of his leg and foot amputated because he had no circulation in it. He was doing pretty well and then all the sudden his lungs collapsed and his heart just couldn't take it. We are all saddened by the news but know that Uncle Herman is in Heaven with Jesus and suffering no more.

Tests

This morning I had a big test to take in one of my classes. I studied through my notes from about 7 at night till 1:00 this morning. I texted my dad and mom and asked them to pray for me and they did. I feel that I did so well on this test and I know it's because I took time to study and also the prayers that were lifted on my behalf.

Facebook

Awhile back I had started a Christian group on Facebook. We have many members who have joined and it is uplifting to share God's word with these people. I like to send out daily scriptures to encourage everyone. I also receive many prayer requests that I pass onto the members so that we can all pray for them. It is something I enjoy doing very much.

It Is Taken Care Of

Back about a month ago I was dealing with an issue in school. I had been stressing over it and pleading to God to help me get this solved. One night as I was laying on my bed and thinking about it I felt that the Holy Spirit told me "It is taken care of." I sat straight up and felt like God was standing right there saying it to me. So things died down until today. I met with a person who is involved in this situation and the meeting did not go well. I left his office and I was upset but know what I heard that night. I am standing by that and know God will see me through.

Issues

You know, I have been dealing with some issues at school and it has really been stressing me out. I feel so blessed that I have parents that are supportive and a brother who lives with me. They are there for me whenever I need them. I also have the good Lord to comfort me. He is there 24/7 and that helps me daily. I don't know what I would do without them and don't want to find out.

Blessing from Heaven

It has been so amazing how God has been working in my life. The answered prayers and the sense of God around me. I have been stressing about a couple of classes and lately I haven't because I feel how God is taking that away from me and is working things out in my favor. He is so wonderful and I am so glad to be a child of his.

Healthy Finally

I am feeling so much better today. I woke up and could tell I was on the mend. I got myself ready for school and went to class. I had missed almost a week. I'm still weak in my body but I know in a day or so that should be better too. Thank you, Jesus, for healing my body.

Spiritual Warfare

I watched a message on the Internet today that really opened my eyes to how easy it is to let evil spirits enter our homes. When parents are fighting and cursing that is a welcome gate to Satan's demons. When there is pornography, foul music, television shows and movies that are not appropriate that are in the home is also a welcome gate for evil to enter. Alcohol and drugs also make a way for evil to enter. We as Christians need to not only have church at church but we need to have church in our homes. We need to plead the blood of Jesus over our home and repent of the wrong that we have done. Only the blood of Jesus can rid the evil of Satan.
