Math Exam

Monday is the dreaded math exam. I sure hope I do well on it. I've been dreading this for weeks now. My instructor hasn't been too kind to our class but I keep praying for God's favor with him and trying to stay positive. Say a prayer for me, anyone who may read this.=)

MSN

One of my favorite things to do is to chat online on MSN. It's a good way to stay in contact with many people I know. My brother for so long lived 3 hours from me and daily I could chat with him. There are kids that I use to go to school with and have gone to different colleges and I can keep in contact with them. It's so nice. I love being able to chat while I'm doing other things online.

Concert

I'm going over to Fort Dodge tonight to attend a concert at Iowa Central Community College where I attend school. A friend of mine is in the concert and I am going with his family to it. It sounds like it's very good. Some of his family went last night also and said it was extremely good so it should be a good time.

Stormy

I was home with my parents this past weekend and on Saturday we had some pretty stormy weather. It was freezing rain and some snow. My dad was out in a lot clearing off the lot at Sunnyview where he works. I stayed in all day cause it just wasn't worth going out in that crazy weather.

Another New Job

Well, I quit Younkers a couple of weeks ago cause I didn't like it but now on Monday I start working for Hawkeye Cleaning. I will work on Monday nights. Probably cleaning offices. My mom has worked for them for a very long time. I sure hope I like it. Time will tell.

Sony Camera

On Black Friday I bought a Sony digital camera. It's a 7.2 megapixel and it was only $79. It is a lot like my parents camera and there's is really nice. My other one quit working for some dumb reason so it's nice that I found a good bargain on a new one and this one is a lot better. It will be great to have it for the holidays.

Thanksgiving

Tomorrow I go home for Thanksgiving vacation. I am very much looking forward to having a little time off from school. I'm also looking forward to my mom's home cooking. She's going to make a lot of food so I hear.

UNI

My friend and I went and visited UNI on Thursday. We are planning to transfer to that school after we are done at the college we are now attending. It was so fun getting the tour. The campus isn't as large as I anticipated. The lunch room was huge and great food. We walked through the UNI Dome and that was awesome. The college has a phenomenal facility with two pools, running track, several basketball courts and a work out room. I can't wait to get to use that. I am very excited about going there soon.

UNI Football Game

Last Saturday I went with some friends to a UNI football game. We had the time of our lives. It was so great and I can't wait to be a part of that school. I bought myself a cool UNI beany stocking cap. It's pretty cool.

New 2nd Cousin

I found out today that my cousin's wife had her baby in the night. He sounds like a big boy. His name is Emry. I'm glad everyone is doing fine. It will be cool to see him at Christmas.

Saw 4

I went and saw the movie Saw 4 the other night with a friend. It's just as good as the other 3. I've seen all of them. I don't know what it is about movies like that, I just like to see them. I enjoy scary movies.

New Job

I start working in Younkers tomorrow. I will be in the men's department. I have the orientation and computer hours behind me. I'm sure I will be a little nervous but I think I will like it at least I hope so.

Movie

It's college movie night and I am going with a nice girl I met from one of my classes. She's very cute and sweet. I am looking forward to getting to know here and think it will be a fun night out.

Job

I started my job at Younkers the other day. I had a couple hours of orientation. Then yesterday afternoon I had to go in for a few hours on the computer. I'm sure glad that is done. Next Tuesday I start working in the store. I think I am going to really like this job.

Younkers

Yes! I got hired at Younkers! I start training in a few days and will be paid more then at my other job when I was a supervisor. I'm very excited and can't wait to get started. I will be working in the children's dept. I will enjoy that. Kids are the best.

Dubuque Visit

I went with my parents to Dubuque to visit my brother this past weekend. The weather was almost perfect. We ate out a lot and saw a pretty cool movie. I stayed at my brother's house while my folks stayed at a motel. My brother and I stayed up till 5:30 in the morning. We had spaghetti at 2:30 in the morning and blasted music. It was so fun and worth not getting much sleep.

2nd Semester

I got my schedule for second semester and I am so excited. I will have no classes on Tuesday or Thursday and on Monday, Wednesday and Friday I don't have to be to class till 9 and am done by 1:30. That's will be so nice. I won't have to get up so early and will have a couple of days to just chill.

Work

Saturday night at work was horrible. We were so busy and as supervisor I had to keep things moving along as quickly and efficiently as possible. I couldn't let my rushers go home when they were suppose to. It was crazy and I am so glad that is over.

Doliver

A while back we had been receiving a lot of rain. My friends and I decided to go to Doliver which is an awesome park. All the walk bridges had been washed out because of all the rain. It was a bummer to see that. So there will be a lot of repair coming up.

The Courts

Last night I was hanging out at the courts just goofing off and decided to drink an energy drink. Not thinking about the fact that I had no food in my stomach I ended up doubling over with stomach cramps. A couple of my friends helped me get to Kum and Go so that I could get some water, which helped out a lot. I won't do that again.

Boring weekend

Well, here I thought it was going to be a boring weekend cause all of my friends seem to either be gone or have other plans but then Saturday night came and I ended up hanging out with about 3 of my buddies. It was a good time and I'm sure glad I didn't just have to sit around at home and get bored.

Awesome Weather

I'm done with school for the day and my buddies and I are going to figure out something to do this afternoon to enjoy some of this great weather. Maybe we will go to Doliver and play some football. They have some pretty cool paths to hike on too so maybe we will do that. All I know is that I want to be outside today.

Back to School

Well, it's back to school after a fun weekend. The time went way too fast but I'm glad we made the most of it. It's my brother's birthday today, he's 22. It was great having him home for a couple of days. Hopefully we can get together again real soon.

Seth

My brother, Seth, came home for the weekend. It's his birthday on Monday so he wanted to spend time with his family. We went to the new Resident Evil movie last night. It's been nice hanging out together and staying out late. Now he heads back to where he lives, today. It would be nice if he could stay longer but he has school tomorrow.

Vikings

I'm sitting here watching the Vikings play Detroit. Detroit has made a touchdown and that doesn't make me happy. I would love to go see the Vikings play in Minneapolis someday. That would be the greatest. It would be cool to go with my dad cause he's a huge fan, also.

Raise

I finally got my raise for becoming supervisor where I work. I've been waiting and noticed on the last pay period that I got an increase. It will sure be nicer going to work knowing that I will be making better money per hour. It's a good incentive.

Home for the weekend

Well, I'm back home for the weekend. I got the first 3 days of school out of the way. I have today off and it's the first Saturday I've had off of work in a very long time. I have to work tomorrow night and I really don't like to work on Sundays, oh well.

Moving back

This past Sunday my dad helped me move back to college. At first it was a drag cause we didn't get the room we wanted but then God opened up an opportunity for things to change and it's all good now. Our room looks awsome and I think the roommates will be better this year. I start classes on Wednesday.

Supervisor

I have been training to be a supervisor and am finally able to use my skills. The first night alone was not good with closing and I think that was because I was too tired but so far it's been going pretty well. It's nice to be in charge. It pays better, too.

Pizza Ranch

I have worked at the Pizza Ranch since it opened in our hometown. I deliver, make pizza, get the chicken ready, you name it and I do it. It's my official first job and I can't believe I'm still here. It's not always been fun but it gives me money for gas and other expenses.

Wedding

I went to a friend's wedding recently. My brother and I had to video tape the ceremony. I had to be at the front of the church and he was in back. I'm sure glad that's done. I'm not fond of being up in front of people but she is a good friend and I wanted to help her out.

Camp

My brother quit his job at the Bible Camp at the end of July and now he can slack till he goes back to school. His boss that had been there for a few years left and found a new job in Texas. My brother decided it was a good time to leave. I'm sure he's enjoying not having to go to work everyday.

Surgery

My mom had surgery about 2 weeks ago and she seems to be doing pretty well. She had to be in the hospital for 2 nights and when she got home she was hurting quite a bit. Now she's off of work for 6 weeks so she will be hanging around the house alot. When she finally goes back to work I will be back to college.

Hot and Humid

Wow! it has been so hot and humid lately. It just goes on and on. I am ready for alittle break from the heat. It's good to be able to be in the house where the air is running but that's not always possible. I look forward to a nice rainy day when it can hopefully cool it down some.

Movies

On occasion myself and my brother like to catch a new movie that is coming out right away. We always like getting friends together to go cause it makes it alot more fun. I think we will try and catch a new release real soon. Hopefully it's a good funny one, although I like a good action adventure movie, too.

Pool

We have an above ground pool in our backyard and I don't get in it very often but when I do it's pretty fun. It's been so hot lately that the water is fairly warm so that makes it easier to get in. My brother and I like getting in it at night when there are no wasps and hornets around.

Birthday

Today is my birthday and I turn 20. It feels good not to be a teenager anymore. My friends and my brother have plans to hang out all night and celebrate. It will be good clean fun cause we don't party. I'm looking forward to it.

South Dakota

My brother, a friend and I took a trip to South Dakota. We went two years ago together and we had a blast. We were gone about 4 days. It was the greatest and again we had the time of our lives. We did alot of hiking and taking pictures. I look forward to the next time we go.

Running

I love to run! It is so refreshing. Grab a bottle of water and head out! I generally try to run about 2 miles every Tuesday and Thursday. If I'm lucky, I run even more than that. The most I've done is 6 miles! You gotta love it! I feel great when I'm done.

Random shopping trip

Seth, Luke, Gehrt, Ashlee, and myself all went shopping today in Ft. Dodge to see what kinds of good deals we could snatch up. We left our house before 5am and had a blast. Got some good deals! Fort Dodge was packed for some reason! Everyone decided to go shopping on the same day I guess!

Frisbee

Gehrt and I sure do love a good game of frisbee. We love to throw the disk as hard as possible and see how far it goes! It is so exciting. Yeah, I put way to much emotion into that. In all seriousness, frisbee is so much fun. It's easy to catch on to and once you've caught on, you're a pro!

Finals Week

Finals week has begun. I had 2 finals today and I hope they went ok. No one likes to take tests or anything but they really weren't all that bad. Our apartment is actually clean for once. The only reason is because of room inspections. I have a history final tomorrow and then my speech final on thursday. Finally, on thursday, I move home!!!!! SUMMER BEGINS!

May

It's May now and in it's honor I thought that I'd write another blog!! It is my last full week of school and I can't believe it! This school year has flown by! I've done alot! It's so exciting to know that summer is right around the corner!!

Finally!

April is finally coming to an end! This means I am almost done with school! I am so excited for summer to start. First, because I will no longer live here with my stupid roommates. Secondly, I will have no school to worry about! Thirdly, I can sleep in and stay up late!!

Biology

Let me say this bluntly. I hate biology. It is such a waste of time. My teacher hates me and I have no idea why. She always gives me dirty looks and stuff. Sure wish I knew what I did!!

Warm Weather

We are finally starting to get some warm weather. We actually ended winter pretty severely. That huge snow storm we had sure was stupid. I love the warm weather! One reason is because it means summer is coming! YAY! That also means school is no more!

Roommates

Ah, my roommates. Where do I start? I can't stand them. Why?! They think they own this entire apartment! They never clean anything! AH! It's so sickening! I can't wait to get out of here!!

Easter

Easter is a time to reflect on just how grateful we all should be. This is the season of the resurrection! God sent his one son to die for us! We live because he died! Let us praise His name forever!

April

This month should be a fun one! We have the repercussions of Wrestlemania now in the wrestling storylines! Cena beat Shawn Michaels! WOOP WOOP! Also, we have easter! That means candy!

Shopping

Well we went shopping today! It was so much fun. Got some cool things. Clothes, a computer game, a case/holder for my psp. It was awesome! I got to pick on mom all day! That's always fun!!

My Toe

I stubbed my toe today. Man, that hurt! I was running into my room and smacked it on the door. I didn't break it but I heard something crack. I fell to the floor and screamed out in pain! Then, I decided to be a man about it and shrug it off:)

8 Months!

Ashlee and I will be celebrating 8months together soon! I am so excited! She is so great! We have never been happier than we are now. God has blessed us and our relationship!!

Random

So Ashlee came over tonite and we went into our back laundry room and decided to randomly check how tall I have gotten in the past couple years. We have a thing on our wall back there that measure height. It was pretty cool to see how much I've grown. I remember measuring myself when I was really little. Everytime we checked it, I would cross my fingers and hope I'd grown. Whenever I did, I would get super excited!

Spring Break

Spring break cannot come soon enough. School is getting so sickening and I want out of this place!! Oh well....once it's here...it will be very nice. We are going to Des Moines to tape the newest JMasta and GDogg music video! It's going to be the man!! Of course, we are going to do some shopping as well!

Ashlee's Birthday

Happy birthday to you Ashlee! Today is her 20th birthday. Yay for her! Just think, 20 years ago she was in a hospital bed. She didn't know how to talk. She didn't know how to walk. She had no idea how to do much of anything but cry! Man, time flies!

Scarface the game

Well Scarface the game is the man! One of the main reasons I got my PS2 was because I knew that there would be a Scarface game coming out for it at some point in time. I am so happy I got it. The levels are really complex! There is so many things you can do. For instance, you can just run up to some random person on the street and start talking to them! How crazy is that?!

March

It is officially March. This means Ashlee's birthday, spring break, Easter, and all that good stuff. All such exciting things. Ashlee will be 20! Jeez, she's getting big! This will be my first spring break experience of college...that should be exciting. Well, at least I hope!

Dubuque

Gehrt and I are heading to Dubuque today to visit Seth. We are going to a WWE Live event tomorrow! I can't wait!! I love wrestling. It's definately an obsession of mine. John Cena is the best. Also, we get to see Lucky! YAY!!

School

Well what can I say about Iowa Central thus far? It has such a different feeling compared to highschool. The roommate situation is quite interesting. I am so ready to be done! I can barely stand it here. Only a couple more months left before I am out of here! I can't wait!!

Halloween

I love the movie Halloween with Michael Meyers. I went to school with a kid named Michael Meyers. I know what you're thinking, that was really random but hey, what can I say, it's what I do best. Apparently, Rob Zombie is doing his own remake of the original Halloween movie. That is gonna be pretty sweet if you ask me!

Seth's 20th B-day

It is officially Seth's 20th b-day today. He is coming to Dodge today and we are going to go out to eat at Applebee's and then head back to the dorm and just chill. Our dorm room is very boring and I can't stand my roommates. Also, they can't stand me. Imagine how perfect my world would be if I didn't live with them. Wow...sure wish I lived in that perfect world.

September 11th

I was just watching something on the biography channel about September 11th. It's crazy to think that this year will be the 6th year anniversary. I can still remember exactly what I was doing. I was in Science class doing some stupid experiment. Later, our principal came in and turned on the tv and I was in awe. Crazy what people will do to send a message to another nation. R.I.P. all victims of Sept. 11th.

New Years

Well we had another successful party for New Years. It was awesome. Gehrt and Jim came over and we played games and watched tv and ate lots of food. Happy New Year!!
